Hello, I am Colton Yack current undergraduate senior at Dixie State College of Utah located in sunny St. George, Utah. I am majoring in mass communications with my primary studies focusing on sportscasting and feature writing. I am set to graduate this coming spring 2013 semester and aspire to become a sports writer and sports commentator.
I am originally from South Jordan, Utah, about 20 minutes south of Salt Lake City. I have always been a diehard athlete with baseball being my primary sport and upon high school graduation I was fortunate enough to receive a baseball scholarship to attend Dixie State. During my collegiate career, I became an all-conference and all western region second baseman. I begin my senior season this coming February.
Because I am such a sports fanatic, I have always dreamed of pursuing a career that was sports related. I was first introduced to sports commentating my first collegiate semester in August 2009 by meeting John Potter, known as "The Voice of the Red Storm." Since meeting John, I have worked tirelessly on improving my sportscasting voice and style to one day become a well known and respected sports analyst.
